KHCC is one of the most prominent comprehensive cancer centers in the Middle East that treats both adult and pediatric patients- over 3500 new cancer patients each year from Jordan and the region. It offers state-of-the-art medical equipment and services, including 8 operating rooms and 170 beds. It houses 18 intensive care units; including 6 ICU specialized for pediatric care.
Highly-qualified oncologists and healthcare professionals (126 oncologists and consultants) and 518 nurses, trained specifically in oncology nursing, work tirelessly to ensure that patients receive the latest in comprehensive cancer care- from prevention and early detection, through diagnosis and treatment, to palliative care.
KHCC treats all cancers and performs approximately 100 bone marrow transplants each year. The KHCC BMT program is one of the largest and most successful programs in the Middle East, achieving cure rates compatible with international standards. It oversees both matched allogeneic and autologous transplants, and also performs transplants utilizing cord blood, making it the only program in Jordan and one of two in the region that offers such a highly-specialized procedure. Other non-cancer cases are also treated through the KHCC BMT program including thalassemia, aplastic anemia and other metabolic diseases.
