3000 Participants Join Amman International Marathon under the King Hussein Cancer Foundation’s Name

The King Hussein Cancer Foundation (KHCF) participated in the first Amman International Marathon on 17 October 2009. Over 3000 participants ran or walked in the Marathon under the name of the King Hussein Cancer Foundation, headed by HRH Princess Ghida Talal and HRH Princess Dina Mired. Thus, reflecting the vision of the Foundation to call upon all members of society to join the fight against cancer.

HRH Princess Ghida Talal, Chairperson of the Board of Trustees of the KHCF said: “The fight against cancer needs the full support of the community. This Marathon sets an example of solidarity to support a great cause”.   

Her Royal Highness Princess Dina Mired, Director General of the Foundation, and a member of the Organizing Committee of the Marathon, thanked the management of Amman International Marathon for this opportunity. Her Highness also thanked every company, institution and individual who participated in the Marathon under the name of the Foundation, or donated to support underprivileged cancer patients through pledges.

Members of the Royal family, alongside an array of well-known local and international figures, joined the Marathon in the name of KHCF.
