Three-year-old Hala was brought to the King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC) after her mother noticed a change in her appetite, weakness, and constant fevers. Upon examination, Hala’s pediatrician felt a “mass” in her abdomen and a CT scan showed a large tumor overtaking her liver. Hala was diagnosed with hepatoblastoma, an extreme condition where separating the large tumor from her liver was impossible.
