Mrs. Leily S. Batmanghelidj

As a dedicated activist and humanitarian, Iranian-American Leily S. Batmanghelidj is a tireless advocate for numerous causes, particularly in the fields of healthcare and education. Upon graduating with a bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Georgetown University’s Edmund A. Walsh School of Foreign Service in 1987, Ms. Batmanghelidj accrued a wealth of professional experience in both the banking sector and the software development industry. After marrying and having children, she shifted her professional focus toward becoming an active member of numerous non-profit organizations.

Along with her role as an invaluable member of KHCF USA’s board of trustees, Ms. Batmanghelidj is an active alumna at Georgetown University, where she is currently engaged in helping the university build a more robust Persian Studies program. She is also a fundraising and communications volunteer at the Alumni Office of The Potomac School (McLean, Virginia), which both her children attended. She currently resides in McLean, Virginia, with her husband.
